our story 

Hi friends! We are Sydney and Clairessa, the faces behind The Cat’s Closet! We began our vintage journey in 2021 selling online and at vendor markets in our community while doing cat rescue on the side. In fall 2023, we were lucky enough to combine our passions into a unique storefront that serves as safe & welcoming space for cats & people alike. 

On the vintage side, we offer a fun and funky nostalgic shopping experience for all sizes, genders, and budgets. Our goal is to help slow the consumption of fashion in our community, while the lounge side offers the same sustainable goal: adopt don’t shop. Since we are paired with the Martin County Humane Society, our lounge clears out the shelter’s most vulnerable felines & allows them to adapt to a home like environment before they meet their forever family. All of our cats come fully vetted and ready for their forever homes. 

Outside of fashion and felines, we are huge women’s basketball fans! We love traveling to new cities and hope to visit every WNBA stadium before too long. We are big movie & board game nerds as well!
